Imperfect sacrifices must be repeated continually; a perfect sacrifice can be made once for all time, and genuinely put away sin (not just cover sin, as sacrifice under the Old Covenant).
This is why Jesus' acceptance of the Father's wrath on our behalf did not need to be eternal, but once for all time and it was finished.
This is also why God's justice demands that the punishment of Hell be eternal; those in Hell cannot offer a perfect payment for their sin, so it must be continual - for all eternity.Hence, your argument in the rendering of 'aion' in Hebrews 9:26, is both mocking God and is pointless.

The prince(s) of this world are both described by 'aion' and 'kosmos', satan is the prince and the god of this world, both are translated with 'kosmos' and 'aion.'

WISDOM OF THE WORLD IS ACCURATELY TRANSLATED BY EITHER 'aion' OR 'kosmos':

Colossians 1:26 is correct in the usage of aion. Jesus Christ has no origin. (Micah 5:2, Psalm 90:2, Isaiah 43:10), nor does He haave an end (Revelation 1:8, 1:11, Isaiah 44:6 etc.etc.) Literally Jesus Christ was hid from eternity which is also contrasted with the word (genea) which is generations (those from Adam forward).
Luke 20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world(aion) marry, and are given in marriage:
Luke 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world(aion), and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:Tony, your statements regarding Col. 1:26, Luke 20:34 and Ephesians 2:7 are pure ignorance. For example, Luke 20:34 is talking about marriage. Believers are married to Christ in the resurrection of the just. Remember the Bride of Christ? Duh.

DON REPLIES: Do you want to debate your incompetent CLNT versus the KJV? I can do this if you want to. Verse context defines the word. Numerous Greek words can be defined a multiple of different ways, even the CLNT does this. As a matter of fact, the CLNT is not even consistent at capitalizing "Son of Mankind".......try Luke 4:3 and compare it to Matthew 4:3.

God is remaining for the eon.In regards to marriage after one is resurrected, the CLNT commits yet another heinous blunder:

dead are neither marrying nor taking out in marriage.

God, being sons of the resurrection.Therefore, by the virtue of Luke 20:36, we see that the CLNT admits that the "next eon" is eternal, wherefore no one can die anymore which is in harmony with Revelation 21:4 along with 1 Corinthians 15:42-54. The resurrected body of the just in Christ are immortal, incorruptible and incapable of sinning. It is eternal!
Furthermore, verse 34 "...this eon..." is an inaccurate translation for many were marrying including Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden which was BEFORE death and sin entered into the world.
